MERRY-GO-ROUND LIKE DECORATIONS TO GOETHE

Everything of Yana Kyshtevskaya turns round Fayst. Alumna of Moscow Dramatic Academy made the merry-go-round the major performance on the stage. Her sketches dedicated to decoration are exhibited in the Goethe Museum in Dusseldorf. Wash drawings of Barbara Prumm are presented to visitors with motto From morning till night Italian impression.

Problems and solution of Fayst are timeless and fit today to Russian intellectuals - explains 28 years old painter, her choice of topic for diploma paper. It is necessary to exhibit only six pictures for the first part of drama. According to the instructions of the Academy she drew sketches and prepared necessary computer versions. One more model fits to extensional comprehension of modern performances with their aggressive machines.

In spite the fact that classical performances were usual until now in traditional interpretation of time the work was written, the painter with her costumes of 60s 70s years of XX century she turns the action to the modern world. Her Fayst, like a scientist, has similarity with Albert Einstein; thats why young man is like dandy. The treatment consists of two screens and transfers current metaphor of the play. The scene of two huge electrical columns is not only threatening, but it demonstrates cracking intention which stage dominates. During the scene of Walpurgis Night emphasized darkness, which is stronger emphasized because of fervently red screens.

Both of exhibitions are represented in the Goethe Museum in the Egerhof castle till the 4th of September.

MERRY-GO-ROUND FOR FAYSTS SKY, EARTH AND HELL

Every year the Goethe museum celebrates birthday of a poet, who gave a name to the museum. On 28 of August Goethe would celebrate his 253 birthday. This day would be marked together with 18s hour summer holiday, the specialist on Eastern cultures Raif Geoges Hoyri is going to tell about the meaning Thousand and one night for Goethe and Western Europe. Before and after this holiday double exhibition will take place: Italian impression of Barbara Prumm and Fayst of Yana Kyshtevskaya.

This Fayst is really remarkable. Yana Kystevskaya expressed new impulses of theatre life of this world epos in her diploma work, part of them are left in constant museum exposition.

Fayst is favourite among Russian people after Boris Pasternak presented his new translation. The theatrical version of Yana Kyshtevskaya is trying to withdraw fro traditional classical staging of Moscow Theatre. She offers the stage of the world, divided on three parts, with merry-go-round until the stages appear.

For Walking a special stage was created, twirly empty stage, Faysts room has huge flocks of paper, in the Kitchen of witches all creatures appear from apertures of catch sink. Meeting of Fayst and Gratham will take place between electrical columns. Joseph Beys saw a definite energy exchange. Now it is only necessary to find the theater and director, to present all these thoughts in real stage.
